Jesus said that His kingdom is not of this world. If I am adopted by Him into His kingdom, then my kingdom is also NOT of this world. If I am following Him, I am giving up all that this world has to offer in favor of my new kingdom and Him. If He died to rescue me, then I must be willing to sacrifice myself so others can have the same opportunity that He has given to me. Anyone who loses his former life in obedience to His commands for His glory will be saved by His grace for taking up His mantle and seeking to save those who are lost. This world is passing away daily as Jesus said it would. We have ONE mission…to continue His purpose as sent by the Father. Jesus said, “As the Father has sent me, so send I you.” We are now the light of the world!
If anyone would call himself a disciple or Jesus, he must deny himself,take up his cross and follow Jesus’ example of a surrendered life.
